Rob Morris
Founder & Managing Director of Stratalegal
Rob Morris worked for elite City law firms and financial institutions (including Clifford Chance, Weil Gotshal & Manges and Jones Day) for over 14 years before founding Stratalegal in 2011. This experience provided him with a great insight into the legal market.
Having been involved in the recruitment of countless partners at Stratalegal, Rob has grown his network exponentially within the City legal community. Harnessing his extensive industry knowledge and invaluable intuition, he mines the legal industry for highly successful partners who often operate below the radar of other search companies.
As the Founder of Stratalegal, Rob upholds the highest level of service and advice for both clients and partner candidates.
Away from work Rob is a keen cyclist, golfer and gym enthusiast.
Toby Morrison
Executive Search Consultant
Toby specialises in partner-level recruitment across leading UK, US and other international law firms. Deploying his strong knowledge of the legal market, he sources and places top partner talent with elite level law firms.
Toby holds a first-class degree in English literature from Durham University and a distinction in an MA law conversion from the University of Law. Before entering legal recruitment, Toby gained experience all over the legal sector, supporting barristers and solicitors with complex case management.
Outside of work, Toby loves film, literature and sport. He plays football and tennis, and has previously competed in a charity boxing event.
Charlie Penn
Executive Search Consultant
Charlie specialises in partner-level recruitment across leading UK and international law firms. He combines rigorous market insight with a strategic approach to sourcing and placing top partner talent, supporting both vertical promotions and lateral moves.
Before entering legal recruitment, Charles honed his analytical and leadership skills at Cardiff University, where he earned a BSc (Econ) in Politics and Economics. As President of the Cardiff University Trading and Finance Society, he led initiatives to educate and connect students within the finance sector.
Outside of work, Charles is an avid trader with a particular interest in cryptocurrency markets and macroeconomic trends. He also enjoys clay pigeon shooting and rugby.
